MOSS

Moss (they/them) is a tattooer from Duluth MN who recently moved to Rochester with their wonderful husband and horrible cats. They have been drawing on every surface they can find since childhood and tattooing since 2019, favoring fantastical and natural subjects—fairies, plants, and animals. Moss finds artistic inspiration in antique field guides and scientific illustrations, children’s books from the golden age of illustration, medieval marginalia, and the fussy little details in nature. Being the hands that put your dreams to skin is an honor and can be a transformative, healing, and magical experience.

Moss primarily does custom work—they solemnly promise to move your stencil as many times as you need with no judgement—but also drops new flash with the changing of the seasons! Available flash can be found in their instagram highlights. 

Moss is happy to provide quiet appointments and accommodate for sensory issues and anxiety. Bring your headphones, a book, your switch, a blanket or your favorite stuffed animal to your appointment if you would like! 

When they aren’t tattooing you can find Moss playing dungeons and dragons, meandering in the woods, cooking with friends, and playing too many video games.
